Six Lebanese soldiers were killed and others were injured in an explosion in Wadi Zibqin, Tyre, while a military unit was dismantling a weapons cache.

The Lebanese Army Command stated the incident occurred during an inspection of the cache, while the National News Agency reported the explosion was caused by munitions leftover from Israeli aggression in the south.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
