FIFA announced on Friday that the draw for the 2026 World Cup qualifying playoffs will take place in Zurich, Switzerland, on November 20.
Six teams will secure their spots in the tournament through the playoff stage, scheduled for March, ahead of the World Cup kicking off in June and July 2026 across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Four of the qualifying spots will be decided through the European playoff, while six other teams will compete in a global playoff to claim the remaining two places in the tournament.
