FIFA on Thursday revealed the official mascots for the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The trio of characters represents native animals from each host nation.

According to FIFA, the mascots are “Mabel,” the Canadian moose, “Zao,” the Mexican jaguar, and “Klatc,” the American eagle. The governing body said the characters were chosen to “celebrate the cultural richness and spirit of each host country, while symbolizing unity, diversity, and a shared passion for the beautiful game.”
The mascots were unveiled in a short video shared across FIFA’s social media channels, where the three animals also appeared taking on different roles on the pitch.
