Voters in Egypt began casting their ballots on Monday in the first phase of the parliamentary elections, covering 14 governorates and lasting two days.

The number of eligible voters in this phase is about 35 million, while the second phase will take place on November 24–25.

Egyptians abroad have already voted in 117 countries, with early reports indicating varying levels of voter turnout.
