Five Palestinians were martyred in an airstrike by the Israeli occupation on a home west of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, including Al-Qassam Brigades commander Mahmoud Al-Houli, according to medical sources.
Hamas condemned the strike as an assassination aimed at undermining the fragile calm.
The occupation claimed it was responding to alleged ceasefire violations, while Hamas accused Israel of breaching the deal more than 400 times since October 2025.
Families returned to sift through the rubble in search of belongings amid rising fears that the current ceasefire could soon collapse.
