Israeli authorities announced on Monday that four people were found dead under the rubble of a building destroyed by an Iranian missile strike in the northern city of Haifa.
Search operations for the victims began on Sunday, with two bodies recovered on Monday morning, followed by the discovery of two more later in the day after continued rescue efforts.
Israel’s public broadcaster reported that the four individuals trapped beneath the rubble of a building hit directly overnight were “found dead today (Monday).”
Fire and rescue teams worked for several hours before recovering all victims from the site.
According to a preliminary Israeli military investigation, the missile launched from Iran broke apart mid-air, leading to a failure in interception.
