Four opposition supporters were shot dead by security forces in Cameroon during demonstrations rejecting President Paul Biya’s re-election for an eighth term.
At 92, Biya is the world’s longest-serving head of state still in power — a position he could hold until nearly 100.
Opposition parties are demanding a recount of the October 12 vote, accusing the government of rigging the results to keep Biya’s regime in power.
