France and Ukraine signed a military cooperation agreement on Monday at the Villacoublay Air Base near Paris, outlining plans for a major defense package that includes the potential purchase of around 100 French Rafale fighter jets, according to AFP.
The deal, presented as a “declaration of intent,” also covers the delivery of the new-generation SAMP/T air-defense system jointly developed by France and Italy.
Kyiv described the agreement as “historic,” saying it represents the most significant boost to its air capabilities since the start of the war.
