France strongly condemned the airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation on Thursday evening in the southern suburbs of Beirut, calling for an immediate Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territory.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that “France condemns the recent Israeli escalation,” emphasizing the necessity of respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty.

The ministry also noted that these airstrikes are the most violent since the ceasefire agreement came into effect in November 2024, threatening the stability of the region.

For his part, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun denounced the airstrikes, considering them a “flagrant violation” of the agreement.
