France has summoned U.S. Ambassador Charles Kushner following a letter in which he accused the French government of “failing” to combat anti-Semitism.

The French Foreign Ministry slammed his remarks as “unacceptable” and “unworthy of our transatlantic relations,” reaffirming France’s commitment to tackling the rise of anti-Semitism since October 7, 2023.

Charles Kushner is the father of Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
