France to Air-Drop 40 Tons of Aid Over Gaza Starting Friday

France will begin air-dropping humanitarian aid over the Gaza Strip starting Friday, delivering a total of 40 tons of food supplies, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced on Tuesday.

Speaking to BFM TV, Barrot said the operation will be carried out in close coordination with Jordanian authorities. “We will organize four flights, each carrying 10 tons of food aid for the people of Gaza,” he stated.

The initiative comes as part of international efforts to avert what the United Nations has described as an imminent “full-scale famine” in the war-ravaged Palestinian territory. Aerial aid deliveries to Gaza resumed on Sunday amid growing concern over deteriorating humanitarian conditions caused by ongoing hostilities and access restrictions.
