The “Global Freedom Flotilla” aimed at breaking Israel’s blockade of Gaza announced Wednesday that its ships continue sailing toward the enclave after what organizers described as a tense, sleepless night of intimidation by Israeli naval forces.
Posting on the social media platform X, the flotilla said it “remains steadfast in its course toward Gaza, undeterred by intimidation, and focused on breaking the blockade and delivering humanitarian aid.”
The flotilla, which first set sail from Spain in early September before departing from Tunisia in mid-September, consists of around 45 vessels carrying hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists from more than 40 countries. It is transporting infant formula, food supplies, and medical aid, stressing that its mission is “peaceful and non-violent.”
