Gaza: 57 Palestinians Killed, 158 Wounded in 24 Hours as Israel Accused of Ceasefire Violations

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Monday that hospitals in the enclave received 57 bodies over the past 24 hours, including 45 people killed in direct Israeli attacks and 12 retrieved from under the rubble from previous incidents. The ministry also reported 158 new injuries.

Later on Sunday evening, Gaza’s Government Media Office said in a statement that Israel committed 21 violations of the ceasefire agreement during the day, resulting in 44 Palestinian deaths.

According to the statement, the violations included Israeli strikes on areas west of the so-called “Yellow Line,” designated under the ceasefire deal—effective since October 10—as outside the scope of military operations.

Since the ceasefire took effect, Israel has carried out 80 violations that left 97 Palestinians dead and 230 injured, the media office said. The health ministry separately reported that Israeli attacks since October 11 have killed 80 Palestinians and wounded 303 others.
