The Gaza Ministry of Health said on Saturday that stocks of medicines and medical supplies have reached “catastrophic” levels, with essential items running out across most healthcare departments.
In a press statement, the ministry reported that 52% of essential medicines, 71% of medical disposables, and 70% of laboratory supplies are now completely depleted.
It warned that the crisis is worsening amid rising numbers of wounded and patients, particularly in primary care, surgery, operating rooms, intensive care units, and in treatments for cancer and blood diseases, where shortages are especially severe.
