Gaza’s municipality reported receiving dozens of distress calls after heavy rainfall flooded hundreds of tents sheltering displaced families amid a severe weather system. Civil defense teams rescued families in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.

Local sources said the scale of the damage exceeds the capacity of emergency crews. Meanwhile, Israeli military operations continued, with intense gunfire reported east of Khan Younis, Rafah, and the al-Tuffah neighborhood.

The Palestinian Red Crescent also launched an operation to transport medical supplies into the enclave through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
