Palestinian medical sources reported that the death toll from the war waged by the Israeli occupation on Gaza since October 2023 has climbed to more than 242,000 dead and wounded.

The sources said fatalities had reached 71,548 while injuries totaled 171,353, with 712 bodies recovered from beneath rubble since the campaign began.

Since the temporary truce on 11 October, the number of martyrs has risen to 464 and the wounded to 1,275, according to the Palestinian News Agency WAFA, as rescue teams continue searching for missing people.
