The German government announced on Friday that Chancellor Friedrich Merz will travel to Turkey on Wednesday evening, October 29, for a meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Government deputy spokesperson Sebastian Hille said during a press conference in Berlin that the talks will take place the following day and will focus on bilateral relations, foreign policy issues, and ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy, migration, and security.
