The “Global Resilience Flotilla” has set sail from the port of Barcelona, Spain, heading toward the Gaza Strip in an attempt to break the illegal siege imposed by the Israeli occupation.

Other ships are scheduled to depart from Tunisia on Thursday to join the flotilla in defiance of the blockade.

Organizers described the initiative as a powerful humanitarian message reflecting international determination to end the siege and aggression against Gaza.

The vessels are expected to arrive in mid-September.
