The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has urged all parties advocating for peace and an end to the conflict to pressure Israel to halt its war on Gaza, lift the blockade, and implement the commitments of the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem stated in a press release that Israel continues its war and blockade under the guise of peace talks, councils, and mediations. He highlighted that ongoing bombings, home demolitions, and incursions confirm the continuation of what he described as a war to exterminate Gaza’s population. Qassem added, “All these discussions have not stopped the bloodshed in the Strip, nor the destruction of what remains, in what amounts to ethnic cleansing in front of the world.”

Meanwhile, the European Union confirmed that its mission at the Rafah crossing is ready to operate once the border is opened.
