Hamas Conditions Progress to Phase Two of Gaza Agreement on Ending Israeli Violations

Husam Badran, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, said that moving to phase two of the Gaza ceasefire agreement depends on halting Israeli violations.

He called on mediators — including the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey — to pressure the Israeli occupation to fully adhere to phase one, which includes prisoner exchanges, halting hostilities, and allowing humanitarian aid.

Despite intermittent ceasefire pauses, the occupation continues to carry out airstrikes in the Strip.

Phase two stipulates the disarmament of Hamas, formation of a transitional authority, and deployment of an international force to maintain stability.
