Hamas leader in Gaza Khalil al-Hayya said that resistance weapons are a legitimate right guaranteed by international law, stressing the movement’s openness to any proposals that preserve this right.

He called on mediators and the U.S. administration to pressure Israel to halt its repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Al-Hayya added that any role for international forces should be limited to separating the parties, without interference in Gaza’s internal affairs.
