Hezbollah announced on Sunday that it had targeted an Israeli military naval vessel off the Lebanese coast, marking the first such claim since the outbreak of the war.
In a statement, the group said it fired a naval cruise missile at “an Israeli military vessel located 68 nautical miles off the Lebanese coast, which was preparing to carry out attacks on Lebanese territory.”
In a related development, Hezbollah’s military media released footage it said shows its fighters confronting an Israeli military helicopter over the southern Lebanese town of Kfar Kila.
The video depicts what is described as a tracking operation of an Israeli Apache helicopter, alongside preparations by Hezbollah fighters to launch a surface-to-air missile.
According to the footage, the incident dates back to March 26, and allegedly shows the helicopter retreating, though there has been no independent confirmation of the outcome.
