Houthi movement Ansar Allah announced on Thursday the death of their Chief of Staff, Major General Mohammed Abdel Karim Al-Ghamari, along with some of his aides and his 13-year-old son Hussein, without specifying the time or location of the attack.

The group also vowed “severe” retaliation against Israel in response to the incident.

Houthi Supreme Political Council Chairman, Mahdi Al-Mashat, appointed Major General Youssef Hassan Ismail Al-Madani as the new Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense.

The last reported Israeli attack on Yemen occurred on September 26, targeting various locations and prison facilities in the capital Sanaa, leaving nine people dead and 174 injured.
