IAEA Delegation to Visit Tehran Amid Iran’s Suspension of Nuclear Cooperation

Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced on Monday that a delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is set to visit Tehran to discuss the country’s recent suspension of cooperation with the agency.

The ministry stated that the decision to scale back collaboration was based on a parliamentary resolution and came in response to recent attacks targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.

“It is natural for us to reassess our cooperation with the IAEA following the sabotage of our nuclear infrastructure,” the statement said.

The ministry also emphasized Iran’s commitment to negotiations, noting that talks with the European troika will continue in Istanbul.

“Our approach to diplomacy remains serious, and we have agreed to resume talks with the EU3 in Istanbul,” the statement added, underlining that Tehran’s energy and security interests remain a top priority.
