Indian Opposition Protests Against Voter List Changes and Arrest of Leader Rahul Gandhi

Opposition parties in India held protests on Monday in New Delhi, demanding the cancellation of amendments to voter lists in Bihar state ahead of the state assembly elections scheduled for November.

Hundreds of lawmakers and supporters marched from the parliament building but were blocked by police before reaching the election commission headquarters.

Tensions escalated as police temporarily detained dozens of lawmakers, including opposition leader Rahul Gandhi.
