Indonesia and the European Union signed a free trade agreement on Tuesday, concluding lengthy negotiations that accelerated following new U.S. tariff measures, according to an AFP correspondent.
The agreement was signed by Indonesian Economy Minister Airlangga Hartarto and European Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič during a ceremony in Bali.
The deal is expected to boost trade flows between the 27-member European Union and Southeast Asia’s largest economy.
