Iran on Thursday officially announced it was ending its cooperation agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) signed in Cairo, which had outlined the resumption of collaboration between the two sides.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in a statement carried by the semi-official Tasnim news agency that Tehran had sent a formal notice to the IAEA to terminate the agreement.
Araqchi accused the three European powers — Britain, France and Germany — and the United States of proposing a draft resolution that “ignores Iran’s good faith, undermines the agency’s credibility and independence, and obstructs cooperation” with Tehran.
