Iran’s destroyer Sahand, which sank during maintenance operations last year, has rejoined the Iranian Navy alongside the floating Kurdistan base, Iranian state media reported on Saturday.

The English-language Press TV channel said the move aims to “strengthen naval combat capability, expand strategic reach, and enhance access to international waters.”
