Iran’s IRGC Confirms Commander Hossein Salami Killed in Israeli Airstrikes on Nuclear and Military Sites

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed Friday that its senior commander, Major General Hossein Salami, was killed in Israeli airstrikes that targeted several nuclear and military facilities across Iran in the early hours of the day.

According to Iranian state media, the Israeli attacks struck multiple locations, including the Natanz nuclear facility, triggering a series of powerful explosions felt by nearby residents.

Earlier reports had indicated that Salami and several other high-ranking IRGC officials were among those killed in what has been described as one of the most intense Israeli assaults on Iranian territory to date.

The strikes come amid a sharp escalation in hostilities between Tehran and Tel Aviv, prompting widespread regional and international concern over the risk of broader conflict.
