Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced on Thursday that it had targeted Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport and an Israeli air force base in the same area, on the sixth day of the war involving the United States and Israel.
In a statement carried by the Tasnim news agency, the Guard said heavy Khorramshahr-4 missiles were launched at dawn toward central Tel Aviv, targeting Ben Gurion Airport and the Israeli Air Force’s 27th Division base located at the airport.
The statement added that the missiles carried warheads weighing up to one ton.
In a separate development, the Revolutionary Guard also announced that a US oil tanker was struck by a missile in the northern Gulf.
According to a statement broadcast on Iranian state television, the vessel “was hit by a missile in the northern Persian Gulf” and “is currently on fire,” in the latest attack targeting the region’s energy sector amid escalating military tensions.
