Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said on Wednesday they had fired about 40 missiles at U.S. and Israeli targets on the fifth day of a war unfolding in the Middle East.

In a statement read on state television, the Guards said the 17th wave of “True Promise 4” operation had been carried out by the force’s aerospace division.

“Several hours ago, the 17th wave of Operation True Promise 4 was executed by the aerospace force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, launching 40 missiles toward American and Zionist targets,” the statement said.

No further details were provided about the targets or locations struck.

There was no immediate comment from U.S. or Israeli authorities.
