The group known as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced Sunday that it had carried out 24 military operations targeting U.S. bases in Iraq and the wider region within 24 hours.

In a statement, the group said the attacks were conducted using dozens of drones and missiles.

The operations come amid escalating regional tensions linked to the ongoing war between the United States and the Israeli occupation on one side and Iran on the other, raising fears of a broader regional confrontation.
