Iraq’s North Oil Company announced on Wednesday the resumption of crude oil exports through Turkey’s Ceyhan port, following a suspension that has been in place since 2023.
In a statement cited by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the company said Kirkuk oil fields have returned strongly to production and export, marking a significant recovery after a period that posed major challenges to the oil sector.
The company confirmed it has restarted operations at the Saralu pumping station, enabling the flow of crude toward the Ceyhan terminal.
Initial export capacity is estimated at around 250,000 barrels per day, with expectations of gradual increases in output.
