Iraq Resumes Oil Exports from Kurdistan to Turkey

Iraq’s Oil Ministry announced the resumption of crude oil exports from the Kurdistan region to Turkey after a two-and-a-half-year halt due to legal and technical disputes.

The ministry stated that pumping resumed smoothly at 6 a.m. local time without any technical issues.

The pipeline to Ceyhan port had been shut down since 2023 amid disputes between Baghdad and Erbil over control of oil resources.
