Iraqi security personnel began casting their ballots on Sunday in early voting ahead of Tuesday’s parliamentary elections.

The Independent High Electoral Commission said more than 1.3 million members of the security forces and 26,000 displaced persons were eligible to vote across 800 polling centers.

The polls, boycotted by the Sadrist movement, are expected to reshape Iraq’s political balance.
