Israeli forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement with Hamas on Wednesday, which came into effect last Friday, according to Palestinian and rights group reports.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa said Israeli tanks opened fire on civilians in the towns of Bani Suhaila and Sheikh Nasser, east of Khan Younis, while other forces shelled areas east of Gaza City.

The Gaza-based Center for Human Rights reported that Israeli forces have committed 36 ceasefire violations since the truce began, killing seven Palestinian civilians and injuring several others.
