Israel renewed its violations of Syrian sovereignty on Monday with the incursion of five military vehicles into the Quneitra countryside in the south of the country, Syria’s state news agency SANA reported.
SANA said Israeli forces advanced into northern Quneitra, with a unit of five vehicles moving toward the village of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah and then toward Tel Kroom Jaba.
There was no immediate comment from Damascus on the incident or its consequences. Syria regularly condemns what it describes as repeated Israeli breaches of its sovereignty and says it remains committed to the 1974 disengagement agreement, which Israel declared void following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s government in late 2024.4
