The Health Ministry in Gaza on Wednesday condemned Israeli airstrikes that struck Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital late Tuesday night, warning that the attack endangered the lives of dozens of vulnerable patients.
In a statement, the ministry said the hospital’s upper floors were hit three times in succession, separated by only a few minutes. It described the strikes as “further evidence of Israel’s systematic policy to disable Gaza’s healthcare system entirely.”
Al-Rantisi is Gaza’s only specialized hospital for pediatric oncology and also provides dialysis, respiratory, and gastrointestinal care. According to the ministry, 80 patients are currently being treated there, including four children in intensive care and eight newborns in critical condition.
