The Israeli army blew up residential buildings in the Gaza Strip early Wednesday, while its artillery shelled several areas in the north and south of the enclave.

According to Al Jazeera’s correspondent, Israeli forces demolished residential buildings east of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, and shelled their positions east of Khan Younis in the south, as well as areas around the Bureij camp in central Gaza.

The correspondent later reported that an Israeli helicopter opened fire on the Deir al-Balah area in central Gaza, as part of ongoing military operations across the strip.
