Israeli Army Says Over 80 Fighter Jets Carried Out Strikes on Tehran and Central Iran

The Israeli military said on Saturday that it carried out a wave of airstrikes using more than 80 fighter jets targeting Tehran and areas in central Iran.

In a statement, the army said Israeli Air Force jets conducted additional strikes against what it described as Iranian regime infrastructure in Tehran and other locations in central Iran.

It added that the aircraft dropped about 230 munitions on several military sites, including the central military university affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The military claimed the university had been used as an emergency facility and as a staging area for Revolutionary Guard forces as part of what it called “Operation Rising Lion,” particularly in recent days.

It also said the strikes targeted a missile storage site containing underground tunnels and infrastructure used to launch missiles toward Israel.

The statement further claimed that an underground facility for storing and producing ballistic missiles was hit, where hundreds of Iranian armed forces personnel were reportedly working and which contained shelters and military headquarters.
