Families of Israeli hostages announced a general strike for Sunday, August 17, protesting the security cabinet’s decision to take control of Gaza City.
They said the plan endangers the lives of hostages and soldiers.
The announcement was made at a press conference outside the Israeli army headquarters in Tel Aviv’s Kirya, organized by the “October Council.”
The families stated the strike will include private companies, organizations, and unions to pressure the government to retract the military plan.
