Israeli media revealed on Friday that a failed military operation carried out by the Israeli army in southern Syria—resulting in six soldiers being wounded and the loss of a military vehicle has sparked sharp criticism within the army’s Northern Command.
According to Israel’s public broadcaster, the operation began at around 3:00 a.m., when troops from the 55th Reserve Brigade and the 210th Division crossed into the Syrian village of Beit Jinn, located on the slopes of Mount Hermon, to arrest two brothers based on intelligence gathered in recent days.
