The Israeli occupation’s Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, announced the assassination of the military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, in a raid on Gaza City’s Rimal neighborhood. Hamas has neither confirmed nor denied the claim.

The announcement coincides with the movement’s confirmation of the martyrdom of its military commander in Gaza, Mohammed Sinwar, months after the Israeli occupation had announced targeting him.

In a related development, an Israeli official revealed plans to halt humanitarian aid to the northern Gaza Strip in the coming days.
