An officer in the Israeli occupation army was seriously injured Monday in an explosion near a military site in southern Syria.

The officer was transferred to the hospital for treatment, though his identity was not disclosed.

The “Martyr Ahmad Maryoud Battalion” claimed responsibility for the attack.

The incident came a day after an Israeli unit raided the village of Saida in Quneitra countryside, as Israeli authorities investigate the circumstances of the blast.
