Several Israeli political parties announced on Wednesday their intention to submit a bill next week to dissolve the Knesset and push for early general elections, amid escalating tensions within the ruling coalition.
The Labor Party and Yisrael Beiteinu both stated they would introduce the draft legislation in the coming week to initiate the dissolution process.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid’s party, Yesh Atid, also confirmed its support for the move and said it would proceed along the same path.
