Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an official invitation to join the so-called “Peace Council” established by U.S. President Donald Trump to oversee global conflict resolution efforts, including reconstruction and governance in Gaza.
Peskov said Moscow is seeking “further clarifications” regarding the council’s role before deciding on participation.
The White House continues to extend invitations to prominent international figures.
The move comes as the Russia-Ukraine war enters its fourth year.
