Leaders and representatives of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the European Union held a summit in the city of Santa Marta, northern Colombia, with the participation of 33 countries, chaired by Colombian President Gustavo Petro.
The final statement confirmed an agreement to strengthen relations between the two continents in the face of challenges to the international order and to reject the use of force or interference in internal affairs.
Participants also discussed expanding cooperation in law enforcement and combating human trafficking, organized crime, and environmental crimes.
