The Lebanese army said on Saturday it had detained six people who attacked a United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) patrol on the Tyre-Bint Jbeil road in the south of the country.

In a statement posted on X, the army said the attack caused damage to a UNIFIL vehicle but resulted in noinjuries among the peacekeepers.
