Hezbollah’s Deputy Head of the Political Council, Mahmoud Qomati, condemned what he described as a “massacre” in Lebanon’s Bekaa region following airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation, which resulted in casualties, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

The group announced the death of eight of its members, including senior figures, during the targeting of a meeting near the town of Riyaq.

Qomati said “resistance remains the only option” amid continued Israeli strikes and escalating tensions along the Lebanese front.
