Lebanon and Syria signed an agreement to transfer around 300 convicted Syrian prisoners from Lebanese jails to Syria to complete their sentences.

The deal is part of a broader track aimed at resolving the cases of more than 2,200 Syrian detainees and convicts, and at opening a new chapter in bilateral relations.
